yum!!! yum!!! yum!!!
October 22 - October 29 we observed Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week began as an effort to develop an attitude of intolerance to the use of drugs. It was after the death of Enrique Camarena, an undercover drug enforcement officer who was brutally murdered, that parent groups across the nation wore and displayed Red Ribbons to show support of a drug free community. We did several activities at Central to observe this week.
The students released red balloons with their names on a tag, pledging to be drug free. They are in hopes that someone somewhere will find their balloon and pledge to be drug free also. We will let you know if we here from any of them.
